Match-day nine finishes as Wolves and Southampton share the points with a draw 1-1 at the Molineux Stadium.

The first-half was a quiet one from both sides. Stuart Armstrong brushed the ball outside the post and Daniel Podence couldn’t get the best of Alex McCarthy.

The tempo changed in the second and the Saints struck first as a wide-open Theo Walcott easily slotted one past Rui Patricio.

Wolves manager Nuno Espírito Santo then brought on Pedro Neto which proved to be a worthwhile decision as the substitute tied it 1-1 in the 75-minute.

With the result, Southampton stay unbeaten in seven matches and sit fifth whereas Wolves sit ninth.

Burnley 1-0 Crystal Palace

Scorers: Wood 9′

Burnley moved out of the relegation zone after Christopher Wood’s ninth-minute goal secured a win over Crystal Palace. The strike was the club’s first home goal of the season.

Palace’s Michy Batshuayi had three opportunities to level the score, two of which came up short and one blocked by Nick Pope.

The visitors had more energy in the second but Burnley did not let up. Jóhann Gudmundsson rattled the ball off the crossbar and Palace goalkeeper Guaita needed to make a point-blank save on Wood who tried to add his second.

In the end, Pope ends up the hero after making a starfish save in the 90-minute to keep a clean sheet and secure the win.

Burnley move up to seventeenth with five points and Crystal Palace sit tenth with 13.
