Arsenal stamped their authority on the Premier League with a 3-2 win over Manchester United, and Erling Haaland delivered yet another hat-trick for second place Manchester City.

Let’s take a look at our awards.

The potential champions award

Arsenal really showed their class with an exciting 3-2 win over Manchester United.

With Manchester City having won earlier in the day, this could’ve been the point where Mikel Arteta’s men crumbled under the pressure but instead the opposite was true.

The superhuman award

With yet another hat-trick, Erling Haaland smashed records left, right and centre against Wolves.

This was his fourth since joining Manchester City in the summer and it took him just 19 games to find it.

The previous record holder? Ruud Van Nistelrooy after 65 Premier League matches.

The relegation fodder award

Everton faced fellow strugglers West Ham on Saturday, a match which presented Frank Lampard an excellent opportunity to begin to turn his side’s fortunes around.

Yet the Toffees took another defeat by a 2-0 scoreline, heaping even more pressure on the former Chelsea midfielder as the club continues to be in chaos.

The fast becoming a legend award

Manchester United will be sorely disappointed to have conceded a last-minute equaliser at Arsenal, but the bright light for them was another goal for Marcus Rashford.

The homegrown star is in sublime form at the moment, with five goals in his last six Premier League games, and will no doubt continue to be vital for the Reds this season.

The home banker award

David Moyes needed his players to step up in the early relegation six-pointer with Everton and no-one did so more than Jarrod Bowen.

The Hammers forward scored a brace at the London Stadium, a place where he is extremely comfortable scoring goals.

The UFO award

Is it a bird? Is it a plane?

No, it’s a drone flying above St Mary’s, that alerted referee Michael Salisbury to take the players off the pitch after 42 minutes, causing a 10-minute delay to the game and mass confusion.

It was later found out that Southampton based YouTuber Ally Law was responsible for the chaos as he revealed he was ‘testing his new drone’.

The new club hero award

It wasn’t so long ago that Aston Villa were struggling under the stewardship of Steven Gerrard, languishing in 17th place in the table.

Since stepping into the fold from Villarreal, new man Unai Emery has turned the club’s fortunes around, taking the side up to 11th, just one point behind Chelsea in 10th.

The top form award

Only Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne has created more big chances (19) in all of Europe’s top five leagues than Kieran Trippier (16).

The England international has been absolutely vital to Newcastle’s success this season and came out of the side’s 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday with the most passes in the final third (31) of any player.

Just a shame his team-mates couldn’t finish one of those chances.

The breakout award

In the era of huge transfer fees, it’s always nice to hear of a home grown player coming through.

On Saturday, 17-year-old David Ozoh made his debut for Crystal Palace, becoming the youngest ever player to make an appearance for the club.

Hard work does pay off sometimes.
