The Freaky Friday award for a role reversal

It really is a new era in Manchester after so much success for the red half for much of the past century.

The bee sting award for Brentford’s brilliance

Maybe it was their new third kit? A disastrous debut for it.

The Battle of the Bridge award for a bout of boxing

Forget Ali-Foreman or Ali-Frazier. Conte-Tuchel was must-see viewing on Sunday. Bring on the February rematch.

The Easter Sunday award for Jesus rising

We had to make that pun while we still could. After one home game, he’s not so much rising as risen. What a performance.

The make a meme award for a classic reaction

It had to be a superb strike to bring this reaction out of Pep Guardiola. It certainly was from Kevin De Bruyne

The Moneyball award for defying the stats

No matter what the Hammers did and despite what the statistics thought, they just could not find a way to goal in Nottingham.

The wrong place, wrong time award

Something about this fixture just appears to be confusing poor Lucas Digne of late.

The regression to the mean award

These jibes were inevitable when the Fulham man, so often criticised for not being good enough for the top tier, followed up his matchday one brace against Liverpool with a missed penalty at Wolves.

The London Calling award for capital quality

Another record is in the Spurs star’s sights.

The leading by example award

Whether it is the responsibility of the armband in Liam Cooper’s absence or pre-season work paying off, Rodrigo has started the season in fantastic form.

The clockwork award for impeccable timing

Dean Henderson really couldn’t have picked a better moment to send out a message with his heroics in Nottingham Forest’s win over West Ham.

The perfection award for a flawless performance

What a signing Sven Botman already appears to be.
