It’s a double win for the men from North London, with James Maddison being named Player of the Month, capping off a brilliant start to life at Tottenham for him like his manager.

The first Premier League Player of the Month award of the new season has gone to James Maddison, capping off a brilliant start to life at Tottenham for him.

The England international, who moved to Spurs from Leicester after their relegation, has been integral already, assisting twice on his debut at Brentford before opening his goalscoring account two weeks later at Bournemouth.

It is the first time the 26-year-old has won the award, having previously been nominated four times while at Leicester.

He beat off competition from Taiwo Awoniyi, Jarred Bowen, Bryan Mbuemo, Kaoru Mitoma and Rodri to land the honour.
