Monza are looking for a new coach with options including Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Nesta and Marco Baroni under consideration.
Raffaele Palladino was promoted to the senior job from the youth team in 2021, just a few weeks after the club’s first ever promotion to Serie A.
His contract is due to expire on June 30 and he was already spotted in Florence yesterday, where he is having negotiations with Fiorentina to replace Vincenzo Italiano.
Monza are therefore seeking a new boss and Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims that CEO Adriano Galliani has drawn up a short-list.
As is fitting for a former Milan vice president, two of the names are very familiar to Galliani from his time with the Rossoneri.
They are current Sampdoria coach Pirlo and Reggiana coach Nesta, who both played at San Siro and were also part of Italy’s 2006 World Cup winning squad.
Another candidate is Baroni, who is leaving Hellas Verona after securing their Serie A safety.
There is competition for his signature, as Baroni has also been associated with Cagliari among others.
