Pique: Vinicius Jr told me he was joining Barcelona before Real Madrid offer

Gerard Pique has revealed he spoke to Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior about moving to Barcelona.

Pique, speaking on Twitch, says he was in contact with Vinicius before he left Flamengo for Barca in 2018.

"Vinicius has a lot of talent. Did you know he was about to sign for Barca?" stated Pique.

"I spoke with him, and he confessed to me that the agreement with Barça had already been found.

"He contacted me to find out how his adaptation to Barca would be, but at the last minute Real Madrid arrived and doubled the offer for him."
