Pioli offers message to Kjaer before their Milan departures: “You are the top” | OneFootball

This afternoon, Simon Kjaer had an interview to discuss his time at AC Milan, and during it, he was presented with a message from head coach Stefano Pioli, who will also leave the club this summer.

The upcoming summer will see several of Milan’s key figures depart. Olivier Giroud will move to America, and Kjaer and Pioli will both depart to locations currently unknown. Their absence will be felt, and their personalities have been reflected in recent weeks.

Last week, the Frenchman sat down with MilanTV and gave an emotional interview, and today, his Danish teammate has done the same, and again, emotions were high.

In Kjaer’s interview, he discussed several things, such as his love for Milan as a club and a city, whilst revealing his feelings during his time at the club. Perhaps the most beautiful moment of the interview, though, was the message from Pioli and his response.

Another tablet moment, this time with video greetings from his teammates and Pioli. The coach greets him like this…

“You always went in search of perfection, it was a great stimulus to work with you, I’m sure you’ll get the best out of your next experiences and out of life because you are the top.”

Simon replies…

“I had an impact then… [he laughs].”
