Pioli heaps praise on ‘complete’ Bennacer and confirms he has recovered | OneFootball

Ismael Bennacer has recovered from his injury and will be available for Milan’s game against Fiorentina tomorrow afternoon. This was confirmed during today’s presser of Stefano Pioli, who also praised the midfielder.

Bennacer has been a key player for Milan in the second half of the season and especially lately, hitting form when it was needed the most. A few months ago it wasn’t the case at all, but now his spot in the starting XI is completely undisputed.

In the game against Inter, when he got that lovely goal disallowed, he sustained an ankle injury and thus missed the clash against Lazio. He will be back tomorrow, though, as was confirmed by Pioli during his press conference.

“He had a problem with his ankle, he’s been training with the team since yesterday and he’s fine. He’s certainly not underestimated by me, my managers and teammates. He knows how to interpret the two phases well, he’s a complete midfielder,” he stated.

The Algerian will play alongside Sandro Tonali and the two will be very important for the balance of the game. The pressure will be on them, therefore, to perform well against a team that likes to play.
