AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has suggested that his squad are complete but also admitted that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara’s business might not be done.

The Rossoneri lost Alessio Romagnoli and Franck Kessie on free transfers at the end of last season and they welcomed back a couple of players who had been out on loan in Yacine Adli and Tommaso Pobega who are now very much a part of the first team fold.

Divock Origi arrived on a free transfer from Liverpool to flesh out the centre-forward department while the big hole of number 10 has been filled by the arrival of Charles De Ketelaere who arrived in a €32m move from Club Brugge last week.

Pioli spoke to the reporters who gathered at Milanello for his first pre-match press conference of the 2022-23 campaign and as part of it he was asked about the potential for more business in the mercato, with the window not closing for another three weeks.

Are you happy with the team and do you expect anything else from the market?

“I am very happy with the team, the players and the club: if the opportunity arises, they will be ready,” he said (via MilanNews).

“The team is complete, then the market can offer you solutions that you hadn’t even thought of until today. The managers are always on the spot, the club is always ready: if there will be the possibility we will intervene.”
