First, at Saint-Étienne, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pulled out a Spider-Man mask to celebrate.
The idea was to honour the birthday of a former ASSE goalkeeper, who once played a game in a Spider-Man kit.
Then, at Borussia Dortmund, the striker whipped out a Batman mask to celebrate a goal against Schalke.
It was to mark his son’s birthday and he even had a Robin mask for strike partner Marco Reus.
And at Arsenal?
Well, nothing yet.
The 29-year-old has brought out his trademark front flip on a number of occasions but there have been no nods to superheroes. That could be about to change.
Maybe the Gabonese has something up his sleeve in case he scores at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
