There’s mutual respect between Roma and Brighton coaches Daniele De Rossi and Roberto De Zerbi, who once travelled to England together to meet Man City boss Pep Guardiola.
Roma have been paired with Brighton in the Europa League Round of 16 and it will be an Italian derby between coaches De Rossi and De Zerbi.

The Italian tacticians know each other pretty well and once travelled to Manchester in 2022 to meet Pep Guardiola for dinner.
Former Roma, Inter and Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov was also part of the group.
The meeting was revealed on Instagram by one of RDZ’s assistants, Marcello Quinto, on August 2022, just a few weeks before De Zerbi’s appointment as Brighton coach.
