Teun Koopmeiners reassures Atalanta fans that he will ‘fight in every game’ until the end of the season after confirming that he has requested to leave in the summer.

The Dutch midfielder revealed on Thursday that he expects to be sold at the end of the current campaign, confirming interest from Juventus and Premier League clubs.

However, his interview with Dutch paper telegraaf.nl left many La Dea fans unhappy so the 26-year-old clarified his claims in an Instagram story.

“I’ll fight in every game because I have the utmost respect for Atalanta, and I am really happy here,” wrote Koop, attaching a picture of Atalanta players celebrating a victory with fans at the Gewiss Stadium.

The Netherlands international has 12 goals and four assists in 34 appearances across all competitions this season and Atalanta’s asking price is around €60m.
