Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk was forced out of the derby at Everton just ten minutes in after a heavy challenge from Jordan Pickford.
He made his way into the Everton box to attack a free-kick when he was clattered by Pickford.
VAR took a look at the foul as Van Dijk received treatment, and Pickford was very lucky to get away with not being shown a red card.
Van Dijk played on for a few minutes but it wasn't long before he gestured to the bench and was forced to make way.
The Liverpool centre-back was replaced by Joe Gomez.
The injury will come as yet another blow for manager Jurgen Klopp who is currently without keeper Alisson and midfielder Naby Keita.
Liverpool and Everton are currently locked at 1-1.
