Piątek set to leave Milan and join Hertha Berlin on a permanent deal for €27-28 million plus bonuses | OneFootball

Krzysztof Piątek is already on his way to Germany for his medical, as he’s saying goodbye to Milan.

After an incredible 2018/19 season, Piątek’s first half of the season has been one huge disappointment: after being unfit in pre-season, he’s had a very subpar performances and only scored 2 goal from open play (in addition to 3 penalties) in Serie A and Coppa Italia.

Piątek has left his place in the starting XI to Zlatan Ibrahimović and today his exit was agreed: the Polish striker, who only arrived in Milan last January, will join Bundesliga side Hertha BSC on a permanent deal.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio and Milannews.it among others, Hertha accelerated the negotiations over the past two days and on Wednesday a deal was struck: Piątek will join them for €27-28 million plus bonuses. Milan paid €35 million last year to get Krzysztof from Genoa.

Piątek has already got on a flight to Berlin and tomorrow or on Friday he will officially sign the contract. Sky suggests that Milan have no plans to sign another striker to cover for il Pistolero Polaco.
