Tottenham continued their fantastic pre-season with a win over Bayern Munich on penalties to lift the Audi Cup.
Spurs defeated Real Madrid in the previous game and took the lead in this one thanks to Erik Lamela.
The Argentine has looked decent in this pre-season and hopefully, he remains injury-free for the upcoming campaign.
Spurs then scored in the 59th minute thanks to Christian Eriksen and doubled their lead.
Bayern weren’t going to lose in front of their home crowd and scored in the second half through Jann-Fiete Arp.
The Bavarians then leveled the game in the 81st minute via Alphonso Davies, and neither team was able to score a third goal in the remaining minutes.
Toby Alderweireld, Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Jack Roles scored their spot-kicks, with Christian Eriksen missing his effort from our first five.
Paulo Gazzaniga saved David Alaba’s effort early on and we went on to sudden death.
Oliver Skipp scored but Bayern levelled to make it 5-5. Japhet Tanganga was the next starlet to score for Spurs while Gazzaniga saved another spot-kick to hand us the title.
Spurs celebrated winning the Audi Cup but they have a couple of pre-season games remaining before their Premier League opener.
There was one major concern, with Juan Foyth leaving the pitch due to an ankle injury and hopefully, the problem is not a serious one.
