Before Liverpool faced Atalanta at Anfield last night, it was announced that former footballer Diego Maradona had passed away at the age of 60.

With that being the case, the Liverpool team that was picked to play against Atalanta paid tribute to Maradona with a minute silence before kick-off.

The Atalanta players also joined in. It was a classy act by all the players on the pitch.

It was sad having to say goodbye to a legend of the game. Rest in peace, Diego Maradona.
