It has been reported that Rafa Benitez is closing in on being named the new Everton manager.

However, some Everton fans don’t want the Spaniard anywhere near the club.

As you can see below, some Everton fans have hung a anti-Benitez banner up at Goodison Park.

Benitez is a former Liverpool manager. Liverpool and Everton are rivals. Therefore, we can understand why some Everton fans don’t want Benitez to fill the vacant managerial role at the club.

At Anfield Watch, we would not lose any respect for Benitez if he does sign with Everton. The Spaniard has donated money to the Hillsborough Family Support Group in the past, which highlights that he is a Red at heart.
