A photo, highlighting the reactions of two fellow members of Real Madrid’s squad to the goal netted by Federico Valverde on Thursday has come to the fore online.

Real, of course, were back in action yesterday evening.

After welcoming Celta Vigo to Spain’s capital for a Copa del Rey clash, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops ultimately marched on to a spot in the competition’s quarter-finals.

The aforementioned Fede Valverde, meanwhile, was introduced off the bench just shy of the 80-minute mark.

And to say that the Uruguayan went on to make his impact felt would be something of an understatement.

After the clash was sent to extra-time, Endrick was responsible for putting Real Madrid back in front courtesy of a fine strike from the edge of the penalty area.

The best, however, was still to come…

Picking the ball up the best part of 30 yards from goal, Valverde conjured up a legitimate Goal of the Season contender, by way of an unstoppable drive into the top corner:

And, safe to say, two players who could not quite believe the moment of brilliance conjured up by their teammate were Arda Güler and Raúl Asencio.
