Celtic remembered Bertie Auld this afternoon as the East End of Glasgow hosted the first game since the legend’s funeral on Friday. The Lisbon Lion was remembered by the players and also by the supporters but prior to the game, former Celtic captain Scott Brown and current skipper Callum McGregor walked out with wreaths for Auld in a touching image.

The two Celtic icons walked out onto the pitch, walking by the European Cup which standing proudly on the trackside, as the club continued their tributes to Auld.

Bertie was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 2009, celebrating all of his achievements including five League titles, three Scottish Cups, four League Cups and two Glasgow Cups. He was a part of the side that triumphed in Lisbon on the 25th of May 1967, breaking into The Celtic Song in the tunnel before the match.
