Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has praised his Belgian teammates for their performance and character in a recent Instagram post.

Posted after the Red Devils’ 1-0 triumph over Portugal in Sunday’s EURO 2020 round-of-sixteen fixture, the post contains a picture of the entire Belgian squad huddled together as they prepare for the match.

Lukaku did not get on the scoresheet in the match, with Borussia Dortmund’s Thorgan Hazard scoring the game’s only goal, but he will nevertheless be happy to see the progress to the quarterfinal matchup against Italy, where the Belgian will get another opportunity to add to the three group stage goals he has already recorded this tournament.
