Inter have gone a calendar year without playing in a Serie A match where they were unable to find the back of the net, but that changed when Atalanta kept them from scoring in yesterday evening’s goalless draw at the Gewiss Stadium.
As football statistics account Opta pointed out on Twitter, this marked the end of a prolific scoring run for the Nerazzurri, and the result was a testament to both teams’ stout defensive efforts.
