A headline member of the transfer wishlist at La Liga giants Barcelona on Wednesday set speculation surrounding his name into overdrive.

The player in question? Dani Olmo.

Attacking midfielder Olmo, for his part, has of course been hotly tipped to secure a return to Catalunya’s capital this summer.

As much comes amid Barcelona’s ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third.

Athletic Club standout Nico Williams is considered the favourite to fill this role as things stand, but, should a deal for the Spaniard prove too difficult to come by, Olmo is expected to emerge as the favoured replacement.

And, as alluded to above, on Wednesday, the RB Leipzig star added fresh fuel to the fire when it comes to a potential Camp Nou switch.

This comes after Olmo was spotted signing a Barcelona jersey, put before him by a member of the Blaugrana’s fanbase.
