Liverpool will face off against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday night as they look to put an end to their poor run of form in the Premier League. The Reds suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss versus Everton in the Merseyside derby, so they will be hungry to get back to winning ways in the league this weekend.

Jurgen Klopp will stick with his preferred 4-3-3 formation and will be forced to make one change to his side for this game. Nathaniel Phillips will come into the team to replace Jordan Henderson, who picked up an injury earlier this month.

Defence

Klopp is yet to confirm whether Alisson Becker will be available for this game after the death of his father on Wednesday. Caoimhin Kelleher will be on standby just in case the Brazilian keeper is not ready to face the Blades this weekend.

Nathaniel Phillips will probably get the nod to operate alongside Ozan Kabak at the centre of the Liverpool defence as they look to keep the Sheffield attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes. Trent Alexander-Arnold will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Andrew Robertson focusses on putting on another hard-working performance as the left-back.

Ben Davies and Neco Williams will probably offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

The Liverpool midfield could be comprised of Thiago Alcantara, Georginio Wijnaldum and Curtis Jones as they look to dominate possession and curve open the Blades defence with their passing. All three of them will have to figure out a way to be more effective in the final third if the Reds are to come out on top at Bramall Lane this weekend.

Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should be available for selection on Klopp’s bench and might could on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.

Attack

Sadio Mane will operate on the left flank but would need to step up his game big time if he intends to get his names on the scoresheet on Sunday. Mohamed Salah will look to weave his magic from the right-wing while Roberto Firmino once again leads the change for the Merseyside giants down the middle.

Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri will have to be content with a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to impress in the second half if needed.
