Philippe Coutinho has agreed to end his nightmare spell at Barcelona by joining Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

That’s according to a story in Catalan publication Sport which claims that the Brazilian playmaker has said ‘yes’ to the Ligue 1 side, and is willing to be a part of any potential deal that would see Neymar go the other way.

They say that Coutinho’s agent has been in discussions with PSG sporting director Leonardo for some weeks now and has come to an agreement over personal terms.

Coutinho, although disappointed to be leaving Camp Nou, is aware that his 18 months with the Blaugrana have not been good for his career and is now looking for a new challenge.

His switch to the French capital however, would depend entirely on Neymar going the other way.

So far negotiations between PSG and Barcelona over Neymar have been at a standstill, but there is hope that now Coutinho has agreed to go to Parc des Princes that the two sides can meet in the middle and get the deal done.
