Philippe Coutinho thought he knew how good Robert Lewandowski was from the television.
But he got a first-hand look at just how lethal he really is when he played with him for the first time on Saturday.
The Brazilian came off the bench in a 3-0 win for Bayern Munich at Schalke, in which the Pole bagged a hat-trick.
Afterwards, Coutinho confessed that his new attacking partner is much better than he realised.
“He is incredible, he is just world class,” the new arrival said of Lewandowski, quoted by the Bundesliga’s official website.

“The way he trains is incredible too. I’ve been here for a week watching him up close.
“He’s so much better than you think on television. He had a great game with his hat-trick.
“He deserves that. He’s a legend. An amazing player and an amazing person.”
Lewandowski’s three-goal haul was his ninth hat-trick in the German top flight across two clubs.
