AS Monaco manager Philippe Clement joked that he hopes that PSG forward Kylian Mbappé (23) makes a move abroad this summer.
Questioned on the rumours that Mbappé has played his final match for PSG during Thursday’s pre-match press conference, the Belgian said, “I hope he has because he is so strong.”
Asked if the French division is too weak for his talents, he replied, “No, it’s just that for me, he’s currently the best player in the world and for the other clubs it’s less pleasant.”
“It’s up to him to make a good decision for himself, and it’s a good thing that he can make such a decision between such big clubs and between such good leagues. But as I say, and I’m joking a bit: It’s better if he leaves and goes to Spain or to England, and other managers will say the same because he’s that good.”
