Trailing 2-1 to Brest at half-time, Philippe Clement said that he “evoked” Real Madrid’s comeback versus Manchester City during his half-time speech, as his AS Monaco side prevailed 4-2 to ensure European football next season.
Questioned by GFFN’s Luke Entwistle about his half-time team talk, Clement responded, “Around ten days ago, after Real Madrid’s remontada against Manchester City, I showed some of the images to my players to show them that they must always believe.”

He continued, “I want players who give it their all, without losing confidence and without losing focus. Like Real Madrid, we’re a team that can score two or three goals in only a few minutes, and I evoked that at half-time.”
