Philipp Lahm has called for calm after speculation surrounding Niko Kovač’s future reached fever pitch overnight.
Bayern Munich are currently in the midst of a four-match losing run and travel to Wolfsburg on Saturday with the very real possibility of slipping into mid-table in the Bundesliga.
Rumours have circulated that the Bavarian giants would look to replace the 46-year-old with Arsène Wenger, but the retired defender, who won 21 trophies at the Allianz Arena, has insisted that there’s no need for panic just yet,
“I think you have to look forward,” he told Bild.
“Nothing has happened yet. They’ve now had a weaker phase. FC Bayern has always found solutions and I’m confident that they’ll be back on top again in the end.”
