Another defeat for Manchester City as they crumbled 2-0 against Juventus in the Champions League. With only one win in their last 10 games, Pep Guardiola’s side are in great trouble. Their next match lies against Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend.
The Citizens would like to keep everything in the past and focus on this high-voltage clash as losing against their arch-rivals will make the case worse. It will be an interesting battle between the two sides, who wouldn’t want to lose at any cost.
Defence
Ederson made a massive blunder against Juventus and his position could be up for sale which indirectly should benefit Stefan Ortega. Right-back Kyle Walker is still not giving convincing performances but he keeps his spot.
Probably one of John Stones, Nathan Ake or Manuel Akanji should be returning from injury. However, if all of them fail to get the green light, Josko Gvardiol will be the obvious choice to pair up with Ruben Dias. It also means that Jahmai Simpson-Pusey might get tested in a big game.

Midfield
Mateo Kovacic‘s participation is still under the radar and if he fails to make it into the starting XI, Pep Guardiola is likely to go with the same midfield.
Ilkay Gundogan will be the holding midfielder and will have the services of Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne in the middle of the park.
Attack
Jeremy Doku continues to operate on the right flank with Erling Haaland hovering around the opponent’s penalty box. However, Phil Foden is likely to return and will surely replace Jack Grealish in the starting lineup.
Rodri and Oscar Bobb are confirmed absentees due to injuries, while Rico Lewis is suspended for the red card that he picked up on the previous outing.
