Leeds United ace Jack Harrison is now so good he could get in the Man City side he has been loaned out from for the last three seasons.

That is according to former England striker Kevin Phillips, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs about the “phenomenal” transformation of the left-winger.

Phillips claimed Harrison’s value has rocketed to the £40million mark on the back of his eyecatching displays in the Premier League this season.

The 24-year-old has been an ever-present in Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season and showcased his ability with his best performance yet in Wednesday’s 5-2 triumph over Newcastle United.

Left-footed Harrison opened the scoring with a long-range wonder strike and delivered a sensational cross on the run for Rodrigo Moreno’s brilliant headed finish.

“The goal he scored on Wednesday night was phenomenal,” Phillips told Football Insider. “When you watch Jack Harrison you think he could even slip into that Manchester City side, he is so good.

“He is developing all of the time and I love seeing young players go out and develop. It is great to see.

“Right now you could say he is worth £30-40million the way he is playing.”

Harrison is on a third consecutive season-long loan at Leeds and has hardly missed a match since Bielsa took over as manager in the summer of 2018.

He has now played 103 times for United, scoring 12 goals and supplying 15 assists, but has yet to play for his parent club City.
