90min is the home of the PFA Vertu Motors Fans’ Player of the Month Award for the 2021/22 & 2022/23 seasons.

Each month, you can vote for your favourite players across five divisions of English football, for the chance to win incredible prizes, including the opportunity to present the award to the winning player.

With the 2021/22 WSL season over - and what a season! - now is the time to decide who deserves to be crowned PFA Vertu Motors Fans' Player of the Year.

This campaign was the best in WSL history so far, with the quality and competitiveness taking another big leap forward as the women's game in England grows apace.

Chelsea and Arsenal were fighting it out for the title until the final day of the season, as were Manchester City and Manchester United in the race for the top three and Champions League qualification. There was even a surprise package in Tottenham enjoying their best ever year.

Elsewhere, West Ham and Aston Villa both kicked on, but Everton slumped against last summer's expectations, while WSL founder members Birmingham were relegated for the first time.

Here are your six finalists for PFA Vertu Motors WSL Fans' Player of the Year...

1. Alex Greenwood (Man City)

Alex Greenwood was a constant for Manchester City all season, even seeming to get better during the crucial run-in, and has now fully mastered the art of centre-back.She remains one of the best ball-playing defenders, at times making her like an extra deep-lying playmaker, but also reads the game so well from the middle of the pitch.

2. Sam Kerr (Chelsea)

Chelsea owe their third successive WSL title to Sam Kerr, whose 20 goals were ultimately the difference in the fight against Arsenal, as well as securing her personally another Golden Boot.Kerr's goals were not just numerous but important. She often scored at critical times, including in stoppage time to beat Aston Villa, plus two goal of the season contenders on the defining final day against Manchester United.

3. Beth Mead (Arsenal)

Beth Mead started the season in excellent form when Arsenal stunned Chelsea on the opening weekend and never really let her standards drop throughout the course of the campaign.A strong end saw the England forward break Karen Carney's all-time WSL assists record, while she finished the season with 19 direct goal involvements in her 22 appearances.

4. Vivianne Miedema (Arsenal)

This season was one in which Vivianne Miedema proved her mastery of two positions, both leading the line for Arsenal as a 'number nine' and pulling the creative strings as a 'number 10' at different times.Her 14 WSL goals were complemented with eight assists, the latter a joint league-leading mark and she saved the Gunners a few times - notably with a late goal against Tottenham and a late assist against Manchester United.

5. Alessia Russo (Man Utd)

Alessia Russo bounced back in incredible fashion in 2021/22, having missed most of the previous season through long-term injury. She gave Manchester United fresh hope after five forwards left last summer.Russo's nine WSL goals was the leading mark among English players until the final weekend of the campaign, while her all-round ability to pass, head and involve herself in build-up play, as well as finish, deserves recognition.

6. Ella Toone (Man Utd)

Manchester United could easily have gone backwards after a difficult summer but Ella Toone was a main reason they were still challenging for a top three place until the final game of the season.Already a top talent, Toone matured in 2021/22 and took on new levels of responsibility in a largely inexperience team. She finished with 15 WSL goal involvements, tying with Mead and Miedema at top the of the assist table.
