The results are in from the PFA Player of the Year awards for the 2022/23 season. Here is who took home the trophies!


Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has taken home the PFA Player of the Year award after a staggering campaign with the Blues.

The Norwegian hit the ground running in his debut campaign, scoring a Premier League record 36 goals while helping City win the title along with triumphs in the FA Cup and Champions League.

Haaland also racked up a chunk of personal accolades in his first season in English football, winning the Premier League Golden Boot, Premier League Player of the Season, and the FWA Footballer of the Year.

Meanwhile, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has won the PFA Young Player of the Year award thanks to another impressive campaign with the Gunners.

The 21-year-old was the driving force in Arsenal’s second place finish in the Premier League, registering 14 goals and 11 assists across the campaign.

Saka remains a key figure for Mikel Arteta’s men as they continue their push back towards the top of the table.

Aston Villa star Rachel Daly has been awarded the PFA Player’s Player of the Year.

Daly ripped the FA Women’s Super League to shreds for the Villans, scoring 22 goals in as many games and chipping in with five assists to-boot.

As a result of her superb campaign, the 31-year-old has taken home the award courtesy of her fellow players.

Chelsea and Lionesses star Lauren James has taken home the PFA Young Women’s Player of the Year.

The 21-year-old forward burst onto the scene in recent seasons, and chipped in with seven goal contributions for Chelsea on their way to the FA Women’s Super League title.

James was also a key member for the England national team, who were narrowly defeated in the 2023 Women’s World Cup Final.
