Tyrell Malacia is ready for his move to Manchester United, insists his personal trainer.

The Feyenoord left-back is closing in on a move to Old Trafford after United agreed a fee with the Dutch club worth £12.9million on Tuesday afternoon.

"Tyrell is extremely hard working and very passionate player," said Jordan Kroon to the Manchester Evening News.

"He wants to make his name known in the world. I think he's ready for Premier League. He's very different from many players and doesn't care much about social media. He only focuses on football."

Rangers boss Giovani van Bronckhorst has also said of Malacia: "He follows the route I have also taken: academy, Feyenoord, and then the step abroad is the next. He has been with Feyenoord for a long time now, at a certain point you feel that the time is right. Then you will play at a higher level with better fellow players and pick yourself up at that level. He already did it for the Dutch national team. So if you ask me if Tyrell is ready for a step up, I say: 100 per cent."
