After Atlético Madrid’s win earlier on Saturday, Real Madrid needed all three points against Osasuna to stay in the LaLiga title race.

Eden Hazard pulled the strings in the absence of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric but a strong defensive performance from the visitors prevented the hosts from finding the net in the first half.

Goalkeeper Sergio Herrera specifically frustrated Zinedine Zidane’s men with multiple point-blank saves on Hazard and Éder Militão. Vinícius Júnior and Marco Asensio also saw attempts fall just short.

It took until the 76th minute for Madrid to finally break the deadlock as Militão’s bullet header found the back of the net then Casemiro secured the victory four minutes later.

With the result, Real Madrid sit two points behind Atlético Madrid with four matches to go.
