Chelsea fans react as Conor Gallagher gets West Bromwich Albion off the mark in the Premier League

Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher was the man of the hour as he led West Bromwich Albion to their first Premier League win of the season.

The Baggies were winless in their first nine games of the season going into the clash against bottom-placed Sheffield United on Saturday. A first-half striker by Gallagher was enough for them to get their first win and move five points clear off the bottom.

It was an excellent performance by the 20-year-old against a Blades side that was frankly the better team on the night.

However, unlike Chris Wilder’s side, Gallagher was clinical and ensured it was West Brom who came away with all three points.

Gallagher has played seven times this season for the Baggies this season. His impressive performances have seen the likes of Leeds United, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United take an interest.

If he continues to impress and improve, there is no reason why there won’t be a future for him at Chelsea.

Fans were suitably impressed with the young midfielder’s performance. We take a look at how they reacted on Twitter.
