Fernandinho’s last chat with Pep Guardiola brings the documentary ‘Fernandinho: The Last Game’ to an emotional conclusion.

The former City skipper allowed cameras to follow him around for his last months in Manchester, including home life with friends, team-mates and family as the clock ticks towards his final day as captain.

Following the title-winning win over Aston Villa, Ferna calls into the CFA to say his goodbyes and thank the City boss for changing his outlook on the game.

After the pair embrace in Pep’s office, Ferna says, “Well, thank you for everything. For me it was a big pleasure, really.”

Pep replies, “Us, too.”

Fern continues: “You don't know how much I learned in this time and I'm going to tell you something I never told anyone before.

“You made me fall in love with football again.”

Pep smiles and asks, “You were getting tired of it?”

“Yes, I was,” replies Ferna. “I learned to play a different way.

“But I learned that football is much simpler than everyone says.

“People will tell you football is complex - that is this, that it is that - but it isn't.

“Many of these things I take with me for the rest of my life, and I will try and apply that message so others can learn, too.”

Pep asks the Brazil legend whether he will move into management anytime soon?

He responds: “I will wait a bit first, but I don't feel like it right now.

“It depends on how things are going, how I am doing and how I feel, because right now I don't feel like it at all.

“Right now, I want to lie on a beach with my family and relax at home.

“In theory, I'll play another two years until I'm 39.”

He then rounds off the documentary by advising the future captain of the Club what to look out for, how to behave and what is expected.
