Tactician Guardiola is of course widely considered one of the most important figures in the storied history of Barcelona.

This comes with the current Manchester City boss having followed up a stellar playing career at the Camp Nou with a trophy-laden, era-defining stint on the bench.

Guardiola ultimately made the call to depart back in 2012, since taking his place in the dugout at Bayern Munich and the aforementioned Man City.

Throughout this time, though, speculation has repeatedly come to the fore, pointing towards a potential reunion between Barca and their former headmaster.

Speaking to the media this week, the subject of as much was therefore put to Guardiola himself.

The Spaniard, however, did not hesitate in assuring:

“It’s over. Over forever. It was very beautiful, but it’s over.”
