The Spaniard, who has helped Man City win the Premier League four times in a row, is being targeted by the Football Association to become the new manager of England.
The Three Lions are looking for a long term replacement of Gareth Southgate who left the England job after the completion of Euro 2024.
Lee Carsley was handed the role of the England manager on an interim basis but he is now expected to head back to the U21s and retake his former position.
The legendary Premier League manager has aim to manage the Brazil national team which would be a major blow to the Three Lions and the FA.
His contract at the Etihad Stadium is set to expire at the end of the season and the Premier League champions would do whatever it takes to keep him at the club.
With nothing agreed on paper about Guardiola’s future at Man City, this has encouraged the England bosses to make a move for the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager.

The Three Lions currently have their best squad in ages and with talented, young players in every position, the FA wants Guardiola to take charge of the team and show his development skills once again but this time on the international stage.
Guardiola is looking to sign a 12-month contract extension at the club and despite the fact that City would want him to agree on a longer extension, they are delighted to see the iconic manager showing intention to stay at the club.
His latest comments have suggested that he is keeping his options open and has claimed that nothing is decided yet.
Until Guardiola signs a new contract at the Etihad Stadium, he will remain at the top of the list for FA who are desperate to appoint the Spaniard.
Not only the FA and the England players but a number of Premier League teams will be delighted to see Guardiola take the Three Lions job and leave City due to his highly successful spell at the club.
