Pep Guardiola has confirmed that John Stones and Kyle Walker will miss Manchester City’s clash with Arsenal this weekend.

Both players limped out of England’s friendlies against Brazil and Belgium last week and were described as ’50/50′ for Sunday’s match at the Etihad Stadium.

But speaking in his pre-match press conference, Guardiola revealed that both defenders will be missing for the top of the table clash having failed to prove their fitness in time.

In more positive news for the reigning champions though, the City manager admitted that Ederson was “much, much better” and is in line to start.
