Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been named 2022/23 UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year.
Guardiola wins the award having guided City to the first Champions League triumph in the club’s history last season, alongside a third consecutive Premier League title and the FA Cup.
The 52-year-old beat Simone Inzaghi – who guided Inter to last season’s Champions League final – and Luciano Spalletti – who won Napoli’s first Serie A title in over 30 years – to the award.
Meanwhile, England boss Sarina Wiegman has been named UEFA Women’s Coach of the Year for the second year running. Wiegman led the Lionesses to victory in the Finalissima in April before steering them to their first Women’s World Cup final.
Spain boss Jorge Vilda and Barcelona coach Jonatan Giráldez were the other nominees for the award.
