“People are going to talk” – Chelsea player speaks out on hard start to Blues career

One Chelsea player has now spoken out about his tough start to his Blues career and how things didn’t quite go to plan initially.

Things have since picked up though, and said player has easily been Chelsea’s most consistent player this season, in my opinion.

Nope, for once I am not speaking about Cole Palmer, who has been incredible since the day he arrived at the club from Manchester City.

I am speaking about Moises Caicedo, who had a slower start to his Chelsea career but has since been colossal in that Blues midfield, rarely even missing a single minute in the league.

Caicedo started slow, and to be honest it was always clear to see why that happened. The pressure of moving to such a big club, a club that he clearly loved so much and was so over the moon to join, can sometimes make it hard to settle. Caicedo just took some time to adapt to it all really. It was literally his dream come true.

People will talk

Caicedo has been superb this season

Caicedo says to the Chelsea website this week: ‘When you come to a big club you always need to know that people are going to talk about you. It was me in that moment [after joining] and I suffered a little bit. But this is football and in football, this happens a lot.

‘You need to be strong, to have a strong mentality, and to have good people around you to help you. I have that; my people support me in every moment and I’m so happy about that.

‘I think he [Maresca] is happy with me because I always try to show him I want to help the team. He can see that in every game. I’m happy working with him, he is helping us a lot. All the players and staff are happy with how we are doing now.’
