The chances of AC Milan reaching an agreement with Rafael Leao over a renewal are good, according to Carlo Pellegatti, while the club also rejected offers for Theo Hernandez.

Pellegatti spoke on Radio 24 (via MilanNews) and he was asked about the future of Leao and Theo Hernandez after Paolo Maldini’s comments suggested that the player wants to stay at the club and there is a good chance he extends.

The journalist claims that there are ‘good prospects’ that Leao extends his current deal expiring in 2024, referencing the fact that Maldini said yesterday that ‘great players must be paid for their value’.

Milan have grown and are now fighting for loftier ambitions than they were when the players signed their contracts in 2019 (Leao, Ismael Bennacer, Theo Hernandez) and now ‘the salary ceiling must also grow’.

Pellegatti also mentioned that clubs knocked on the door for Theo Hernandez during the summer, but Milan said no.
