AC Milan will face Cagliari away from home this evening and after the display against Real Madrid, the Rossoneri are the clear favourites. However, as highlighted by Carlo Pellegatti, you never know with Paulo Fonseca’s men.

The win in the Champions League has certainly given the team a much-needed confidence boost, coming off two rather subpar performances. Tonight, they are up against Cagliari and the youngster Francesco Camarda will play from start.

Speaking to TuttoCagliari ahead of the game, the Milan pundit Carlo Pellegatti was asked about the game and what he expects. Although the Rossoneri have the qualities to make life ‘tough’ for Cagliari, you simply never know with the team.

“I always compare Milan to an Easter egg. Whn you open it, you never know if you will find a sparkling jewel or a plastic soldier inside. Against Fiorentina, for example, we saw the worst version of the Milanese team; in Monza, frankly, I didn’t like the first half of the Rossoneri very much.

“For sure, if Leao and his teammates show the same quality seen in Madrid, it will be tough for Cagliari. Otherwise, it might not be that complicated for Nicola’s men to snatch a positive result…”

Hopefully, Milan have woken up on the right side of the bed as a win is needed to keep the Scudetto hopes alive. Napoli are already significantly ahead, currently eight points, and the Rossoneri need to win every game they can.
