Pedro to miss Supercopa do Brasil final

On Friday, Flamengo travelled to Brasília to prepare to face Palmeiras in this weekend’s Supercopa do Brasil final at the Mané Garrincha stadium.

Manager Rogério Ceni has released the list of players for the game. The only absence felt was that of striker Pedro.

Pedro has not recovered in time from his thigh injury. The striker has been out since leaving the match against Botafogo in the Campeonato Carioca.

The player returned to training on the pitch this week, but the medical department has not been impressed by the rate of his recovery.

The good news was that right-back Matheuzinho has recovered from his thigh injury and travelled with the team.
