Pedro Porro 'distraught' with Tottenham move off

Tottenham’s move for Sporting CP wingback Pedro Porro is off at the final hour.

A transfer had reportedly been agreed between the clubs and Porro was set to leave after competing in Sunday’s Portuguese League Cup final against Porto.

Sporting had even moved to sign Héctor Bellerín on loan as a replacement but have now pulled out of the deal with Tottenham, the Athletic report.

The report says the 23-year-old is “distraught” at the u-turn.

It remains to be seen whether there is time for Tottenham to pursue an alternative with the window set to close on Tuesday.
