The Spain international has gone from €15m in October 2020, shortly after his arrival from Las Palmas, to €90m. Already key for Luis Enrique’s Spain side and Barcelona, he has a contract at Camp Nou until 2026.

The Canary Islander has set his sights on reaching double figures for goals in 2022-23. From four goals in the 2020-21 season and five in the 2021-22 season, he now wants to reach 10 or 12.

From six assists in his first season at Barça, he dropped to just one last season. Too little for a player of his talent but he missed a lot of game time through injury.

Pedri, like Iniesta in part, is much more important in that facet of the key pass, just before the assist, or pre-assist. Pedri is much more of a playmaker, but both Xavi at Barça and Luis Enrique in the national team are asking him to take more risks and try to make that last pass.

At Barça, he has forwards like Dembélé, Lewandowski, Ferran Torres, Raphinha, Memphis and Ansu Fati to assist. He has Morata, Sarabia, Yéremi, Nico and Borja to assist in the Spain national team.
