Pedri delighted with new deal: Barcelona helped me in every way | OneFootball

Barcelona midfielder Pedri is delighted with his new contract.

After penning a deal to 2026, Pedri was presented to the media this morning alongside president Joan Laporta.

The midfielder said: "I have always said that it is the club I want to be in and I am very happy. A year ago I was giving touches in my presentation and very nervous and I am very happy with how everything has gone.

"I have changed a lot. Barça has helped me in everything, personally and professionally. I have been doing well from day one. My family has always helped me to keep my feet on the ground and be calm, thanks to them I handle it much better. I was a little nervous but when you hit your friend the ball those nerves go away and you are much happier."

Laporta also said: "Today is a historic day, a great day. We are living the moment in which a boy who was from Barça as a child is making his dream come true thanks to his effort and talent, and thanks to being a great person because he has followed the advice and has learned the values that his parents and his older brother have taught him, who has helped him a lot.

"For Barça it is a day that we are full of pride, very excited because we are aware that we are living a historical moment."
