When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged triumphant, thanking a solitary goal on the part of Raphinha for a 1-0 result.

For the aforementioned Pau Cubarsí, though, the clash nevertheless marked one to forget.

Afforded a starting berth in Lisbon by boss Hansi Flick, the Spaniard lasted only a little over 20 minutes, before being shown a straight red card for a last-man challenge.

Speaking to the media in the game’s aftermath, Pedri was therefore drawn on the wellbeing of his young teammate.

And the midfielder went on to admit:

“Cubarsí told us that he was devastated because of the red card… It’s complicated, but we’re going to support him in the dressing room. We are happy with him.”
