PEC Zwolle mourn the passing of chairman Meine Breemhaar (64) | OneFootball

PEC Zwolle recently announced the death of their chairman, Meine Breemhaar. Via the report of Voetbal International, he was chairman of the club’s foundation board and successful director of MAC3PARK, the namesake sponsor of the stadium. Breemhaar was 64 years old.

Breemhaar had been a sponsor of PEC with his real estate company MAC3PARK since 2014, and from July 2016, the stadium has adopted the company’s name. In addition to being a sponsor and shareholder, Breemhaar was chairman of the foundation’s board for several years. Deep down, he was a PEC fan for many years and one that will be deeply missed.

It is understood that the businessman had been terminally ill for some time and died on New Year’s Day. As a result of this sad news, a minute’s silence will be observed in Zwolle as the Blauwvingers take on NEC in their next home game on Saturday the 11th of January. The PEC players will also wear black armbands that evening to commemorate Breemhaar.
