Speaking to Kicker, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krósche outlined how they hope new signing Paxten Aaronson (19) will develop at the club.

During the interview, Krósche opened up to what their plan for the US youth international is: “We want to build it in peace so that he gradually gets used to the intensity and playing style, learns the principles of our game and also gets used to the German language and cultural differences a bit.”

Krösche however did make sure Aaronson would also hold himself accountable: “It is a bit up to him and the overall situation how fast this goes.”

Aaronson moved to Frankfurt to Philadelphia Union in the MLS for €4m. He made 43 appearances for Philadelphia and scored four in his two-year spell at the club. He last played for them in their MLS cup final defeat to LAFC. He is the brother of Leeds United attacker Brenden Aaronson who moved from RB Salzburg for €32m in the summer.

Aaronson will have a tough test to try and break into the first team at Frankfurt as he is behind the likes of Daichi Kamada, Mario Götze and Jesper Lindstrøm who have helped to make Frankfurt’s attack the second-best in the league behind only Bayern Munich.
